SEA Drive ™

The foundation of SEA Electric’s technology, is the creation of its 100% electric SEA-Drive™ technology. SEA has developed and patented three SEA-Drive™ models, with each model customised to a specific category of commercial vehicles.

MODELS

The SEA-Drive™ has been created by utilising some of the world’s, class-leading EV components (including various Australian suppliers) and integrating each sub-system with proprietary software and controls. The outcome being a fully integrated system, that performs at the highest levels, whilst be cost effective to use and flexible enough to adapt to a range of donor commercial vehicle platforms.

This is seen with SEA’s three complete vehicle offerings, in the E4V van, the EV10t cab chassis and the EV14 cab chassis. SEA has OEM and Operator adaptation projects in various stages of development, across the globe.

SEA-Drive™ 70

SEA-Drive70The SEA-Drive™ 70 model has been created for adoption by 5m-7m delivery vans and minibus’. It operates with a 70kWh battery pack, mounted below floor level so as not to impact on floor space in the rear. A 70kW (continuous power) Permanent Magnet motor, providing 340Nm of continuous torque, drives the vehicle, allowing 0-50km/h in 5 seconds and a speed limited top speed of 100km/h. A 22kW integrated charger allows full charge in under 4 hours, with both 3 phase and 240v options. Furthermore, a massive 25% gradient can be achieved. The SEA-Drive™ 70 powers the SEA E4V – 6m delivery van and minibus.

SEA-Drive™ 120

SEA-Drive120The SEA-Drive™ 120 model has been created for adoption by 9t to 13t cab chassis trucks. It operates with a 120kWh battery pack, mounted below the cab and between the chassis rails for protection and balance. A 100kW (continuous power) Permanent Magnet motor, providing 1230Nm of continuous torque, drives the vehicle, allowing 0-50km/h in 6 seconds and a speed limited top speed of 100km/h. A 22kW integrated charger allows full charge in under 6 hours. Furthermore, a massive 27% gradient can be achieved. The SEA-Drive™ 120 powers the SEA EV10 – 10t GVM cab chassis truck.

SEA-Drive™ 140

SEA-Drive140The SEA-Drive™ 140 model has been created for adoption by 14t to 17t cab chassis trucks. It operates with a 140kWh battery pack, mounted below the cab and between the chassis rails for protection and balance. A 195kW (continuous power) Permanent Magnet motor, providing 2060Nm of continuous torque, drives the vehicle, allowing 0-50km/h in 8 seconds and a speed limited top speed of 100km/h. A 22kW integrated charger allows full charge in under 7 hours. Furthermore, a massive 20% gradient can be achieved. The SEA-Drive™ 140 powers the SEA EV14 – 14t GVM cab chassis truck.

Battery Module Option

Each of the SEA-Drive™ models have battery module options, for range and/or auxiliary equipment operation. Both the SEA-DriveTM 120 and SEA-DriveTM 140, have a 40kWh module available for range extension and operating equipment such as waste collection bodies, refrigeration or mixers – to name but a few.

The largest OEM adaptation projects, require a SEA-Drive™ 140 drive, with an additional battery module which increases capacity to 212kWh, for application specific use.
